craftwork gets soft

I discovered My Paper Crane's awesome stuffed critters at the Wicker Park Renegade Craft Fair last fall, and instantly snapped up one of her stuffed s'mores for Sophie.  Inspired by My Paper Crane themselves, as well as by the Japanese art of amigurumi, today SFist posted instructions on how to make your own softie.  It triggered a memory for me of making simple stuffed "agapes" during Sunday school when I was much much younger, so I suspect I still have the skillz.  Maybe I can make a softie in the form of an anthropomorphic plastic bag for Richter to chew on.
